No. The letter confirms that a need exists and carries a clinician's signature. It does not have to reveal the name of your condition or your medical file. A landlord may confirm a disability related need but is not owed the private detail behind it. The minimum gets shared, and the rest of your record stays with the provider.

No. Your Protected Health Information is not sold and is not used to market unrelated products to you. Outside narrow lanes like care, payment, certain operations, and a real legal duty, a covered provider needs your written authorization before using or sharing your information. That authorization rule is what keeps your data out of an advertiser's hands.

Contact us in writing and say what you want. To see and copy your record, use your right of access. To fix a mistake, use your right to amend. We confirm your identity to protect you, then answer within the time the law allows, generally 30 days for an access request. You are not charged to use a right, though a reasonable cost based fee may apply to a copy.

Beyond that, you have the right to file a complaint with the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, the federal office that enforces HIPAA. Filing a complaint cannot be used against you. We would rather hear your concern and make it right, and the federal path stays open to you either way.
